Autopsy results: Murder victim strangled

MANCHESTER, NH – Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief Enoch F. Willard announce that based on forensic evidence, murder victim Sue Hutchinson was strangled. Her body was recovered from a crawl space inside her Calef  Road home on Oct. 11.

Hutchinson had been missing since September 20, 2015.

The State’s Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Thomas A. Andrew, has completed an autopsy on the female’s body and has determined the cause of death was ligature strangulation and the manner of death is homicide.

The investigation into Hutchinson’s murder continues to focus on her roommate, Stephen Andrade, who killed himself in a motel in Massachusetts on October 6, 2015. The investigation into the circumstances leading up to and surrounding Ms. Hutchinson’s murder and Mr. Andrade’s suicide remains ongoing.

Further details will be released once the investigation has concluded.
