MANCHESTER, NH – Come to Amoskeag Studio for a truly unique experience: Enjoy the 1928 classic silent film “La Passion de Jeanne d’Arc” (The Passion of Joan of Arc) to the live soundtrack of atmospheric guitarist, Rob Byrd.

About Rob Byrd:

Rob Byrd’s music explores the guitar’s capacity for melodic expression, and its ability to evoke spaces and textures when treated with his carefully crafted sound design programs.  Melding beautifully sublime songwriting with expansive sonic settings, he evokes shadowy vistas and veiled memories. Constantly performing in a wide variety of venues, past shows have taken place at the legendary CBGB, the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert, the Queens Museum of Art in New York City, and the Southworth Planetarium.   His first full-length album “The Bells of Tomorrow” was released on Rootsucker Records in 2006.  The 2009 follow-up “My Ghosts and Yours” was released on Del Chapel Recordings.   The new album “Soul Spaces,” due for release in January 2014, features Byrd’s glowing, spacious sound, evoking wild expanses and serene limitless plateaus drawn from real memories, imagination, fantasy literature, and dreams. His music has been used as the score for several independent films, and has appeared in HBO’s “The Sopranos.”

This powerful and moving performance is improvised and thus never the same twice. Come watch this film as you have never seen a film before!
