sobrietyMANCHESTER, NH — New Hampshire State Police and Chief Nick Willard of the Manchester Police Department announce that during the weekend of July 15, 2016, State Police Troopers from Troop B in Bedford and officers of the Manchester Police Department will conduct a Sobriety Checkpoint in Manchester.

The checkpoint is authorized by the Hillsborough County Superior Court, and will be conducted under guidelines established by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.

The New Hampshire State Police and the Manchester Police consider the identification and apprehension of impaired drivers and enforcement of the Driving While Intoxicated statutes to be a top priority. Sobriety checkpoints are one of the best methods of deterring the impaired driver.
