MANCHESTER, NH – I wasn’t looking for corned beef or cabbage. In fact, I almost forgot it was St. Patrick’s Day eve when I stopped by the Manchester Market Basket for some provisions.

But then I spied Suzi Bussiere in the bread aisle, with her “Kiss my shamrock” overhauls and fanciful hat, and I had to ask her if she was just searching for soda bread, or an employee.

She confessed that she enjoys the chance to spread a little holiday joy whenever possible, and summoned her co-worker, John Gagnon, who was recently mistaken for a leprechaun, due to the green apron he borrowed from his friends in the produce department, and his glittery green hat.

Whatever your St. Patrick’s Day rituals are, make sure you spread some joy and enjoy your day as much as these two Market Basket employees will.
