MANCHESTER, NH –A Goffstown woman asleep behind the wheel was charged with possession of cocaine and operating on a suspended license, after an officer found her slumped over the wheel of her Cadillac early Wednesday morning.

Just before 1 a.m. on Jan. 13 Officer Matthew O’Connor noticed a 2006 Cadillac CTS in the parking lot of CVS on Mammoth Road around 12:50 a.m. Officer O’Connor had observed the vehicle approximately an hour earlier when he drove past the Mammoth Road store and noted it had been running. He stopped the second time to check the condition of the occupant.

Nina Morgan, 41, of Goffstown was “slumped over the wheel.” According to the police report, Morgan looked at Officer O’Connor before placing her vehicle into gear, and then stopped almost immediately after she started to back out of her location. Dispatch confirmed Morgan was operating with a suspended registration, so she was taken into custody.

Officer O’Connor located a folded dollar bill on the driver’s side floor board as Morgan exited the vehicle. He observed and tested a white powdery substance, which tested positive for cocaine. Morgan was charged with possession of a controlled drug (felony); and operating with a suspended registration. Morgan appeared in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on January 13, 2016.
