MANCHESTER, NH – Not only is Chuck Kalantzis planning a big Thanksgiving feast for 1,200 people or so who might need a place to break bread, but he picked up a few dozen extra turkeys, for anyone who needs one to cook at home.
“Tell people they can just stop by Penuche’s today and tomorrow, and ask for Chuck,” Kalantzis said on Monday.
Kalantzis will once again be serving up a free full Thanksgiving meal at his restaurant, a way of giving back and honoring his mother, Kalantzis says. The event is meant for everyone who’d like to join the community feast, from families, college students not going home for the holiday, people separated from family, or those who are homeless. Doors open at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving and meals will be served until 12:30 p.m.
Penuche’s is located at 1087 Elm Street. They are open tonight until 1 a.m. and will be open Tuesday at 11 a.m.
