CONCORD, NH – Future In Sight continues to transform the lives of children and adults who are blind or live with profound sight loss. Our innovative efforts in education and rehabilitation services for those with sight loss have significantly expanded throughout the Granite State and beyond. We are thrilled to welcome Lucinda Williams as the new Director of Development to help us expand funding in support of these growing needs.
“As a survivor of a traumatic brain injury coupled with the awareness of a grandson with Type 1 diabetes I bring a personal passion and dedication to the responsibilities as Director of Development for Future in Sight;” said Williams.
Williams joins Future In Sight with 25 years of non-profit management experience primarily in the arts and health and human services. She has served as the Director of Development for the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation and Service Dogs by Warren Retrievers, Executive Director of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and the Brain Injury Association of Delaware, and as Vice President of Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for Artistic, Education and Community Outreach. In the course of her career, Lucinda has raised millions of dollars for the organizations for which she served.
She has operated her own independent arts production company, Serenade Productions, working alongside artists Yo Yo Ma, Tony Bennett, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Pittsburgh Symphony and more.
“Lucinda’s experience and passion compliments our vision to strengthen and expand services, continued development of our practice, and support efforts to serve thousands more children and adults in New Hampshire. It’s an exciting time for our organization and the clients we serve,” said Future In Sight President and CEO David Morgan. Lucinda joins the organization almost one year after the launch of our new brand. We have adapted to changing needs and demographics, offering programs for people living with a wide range of visual disabilities. I am confident that Lucinda will enable Future In Sight to achieve its immediate and long range goals.”
Lucinda lives in Gilmanton, NH, with her husband, retired Army Colonel, Richard Nowak. Richard served as a Special Forces Green Beret for 26 years. She is a member of the Lower Gilmanton Community Club, Gilmanton’s Own, Inc., and Gilmanton Historical Society. She also volunteers her development experience by authoring grants directed at funding Diabetic Alert Service Dogs for adults and children.
