BEDFORD, NH – Your feel-good foodie story of the day: Great NH Restaurants is “paying it forward,” one customer at a time.
National Pay It Forward Day on April 30 got off to a heartening start when T-BONES guests Bill Sandberg, Bruce Pollock and Scott Sorensen were the first recipients of a “Great NH Restaurants Random Act of Kindness,” during a visit to the Derry restaurant. Their special surprise was delivered by Chef Nicole Barreira. Officials from Great NH Restaurants expect that this initial ripple of goodwill will gain momentum in the weeks to follow as the unique program inspires folks to taste how good sharing can be.
Keeping with the spirit of paying it forward, daily guests at all Great NH Restaurant locations, including T-BONES, Cactus Jack’s and the Copper Door Restaurant, will randomly receive surprise treats, ranging from a free appetizer or dessert to a free meal or even more, through Sept. 6. To further promote goodwill and happiness, each “act of kindness” recipient will be presented with a $25 dining certificate, which they can, in turn give to a random person and “pay it forward.” Managers and their lucky recipients will be encouraged to share their exchanges of kindness by posting their photos on Facebook and Twitter, hash-tagged #RandomActsNH and #PayItForwardNH.
Great NH Restaurants CEO-Owner Tom Boucher said he’s constantly seeking ways to give back to the people of New Hampshire and is excited to start “paying it forward.”
“We take pride in being good neighbors and enjoy the opportunity to make a difference. This time we’re taking that concept a step further,” Boucher said. “We’re not only giving away random treats to our valued customers, but we’re encouraging them to go out and make someone else’s day a little brighter afterwards.”
