Early morning fire at La Fiesta Mexico on South Willow Street

MANCHESTER, NH – Firefighters quickly contained an early morning fire Wednesday at La Fiesta Mexico Restaurante and Cantina after a single 911 call came in just after 3 a.m. reporting a building fire.

Crews from Somerville Street Station arrived at 300 South Willow St. within five minutes of the call, and found fire was visible from the front of the building.

The fire was contained to the front entry way and parapet wall above with no further extension into the dining area.The building did suffer smoke damage throughout. Damage is estimated at about $10,000.

An investigation is underway by MFD Fire Prevention Unit but at this time does not appear suspicious. There were no injuries to civilians or MFD personnel.
