MANCHESTER, NH – Demetrius Williams, 33, of Manchester, was arrested Jan. 10 after a brief foot pursuit by police, who say they spotted him allegedly trying to break into a parked car on Hawyard Street, across from Margie’s Dream Diner.

While on patrol Sunday Officers Warren Tanner and William Regan Jr. noticed Williams”acting suspiciously” while trying to gain entry into the locked car. They attempted to stop him, but Williams allegedly refused to stop and instead ran away from the area, heading norther toward Members First Credit Union.

Officer Regan caught up with Williams and took him down to the ground. Police say Williams continued to fight with the officers and failed to comply with the arrest. Officers managed to cuff him and place him into custody.

Williams was charged with resisting arrest/detention and released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail, with a court date of February 17, 2016.
