UPDATE: As of 11:15 a.m. Lt. Brian O’Keefe reports that no arrests have been made in the Conant Road incident. Four people who exited the three-family home were placed into temporary custody as a precautionary measure

A second-floor apartment was secured by police and deemed safe. The school “shelter in place” status has been lifted. A few officers remain at the scene while the investigation continues into why or who may have shot a firearm, O’Keefe said.

MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police were called to investigate a report of shots fired at 90 Conant St. at about 9 a.m. Because this address is located near three West Side schools – West High School, Parkside and Gossler Park, police advised a “secure campus” status and asked that the schools “shelter in place” as a safety precaution.

As of 9:50 a.m. police were converging on the address with a “Bearcat” to check for a person of interest.

At 10:10 a.m. at least four people had exited the residence, said Manchester Police Lt. Brian O’Keefe.

A district spokesperson confirmed that all three schools were in secure campus mode, and that all students and staff are safe.

Just before 11 a.m. police had cleared the scene and the “shelter in place” order was lifted from area schools.

We’ll update you on any police updates resulting from the situation as soon as that information is available.
