Robber gets away with cash drawer, but not before getting a punch in the face from clerk

MANCHESTER, NH – Police seek the public’s help in identifying a man who at got away with the cash register from a gas station convenience store – but not before the clerk punched him in the face.

On Tuesday, April 25 Manchester Police Department responded to Sunoco by the Amoskeag Rotary for a robbery that had just occurred.

At approximately 9:55 p.m., a man, approximately 5-foot-5-inches tall, entered the business and attempted to purchase a bottle of water. Once the clerk opened the register, the man lunged toward the register, grabbing ahold of it. A struggle for the register ensued at which time the clerk was able to punch the robber in the face. During the struggle, the robber was able to gain possession of the register and exit the store.

The robber was last seen running north behind the store, making off with an undisclosed amount of money.
