According to a police narrative, at about 7:45 p.m. on Saturday Manchester Police responded to the convenience store at 117 Queen City Ave. for a reported armed robbery.

The clerk on duty reported that a white male wearing a gray hooded Patriots sweatshirt, jeans and a black-and-red baseball cap with white trim brim entered the store. The robber displayed a kitchen knife with a silver handle and demanded “all the money in the box and a box of Newport cigarettes.”

The clerk complied and the robber fled on foot with approximately $200 in cash and multiple boxes of Newports. The clerk recognized the robber as the husband of a former store employee. During the course of the investigation, the robbery suspect’s identity and address were determined, leading officers to the Duncan’s house.

Duncan was taken into custody without incident and will be arraigned Monday in the 9th Circuit District Court Manchester to answer to the charge of one count felony armed robbery.
