HOOKSETT, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire University posted an impressive 6-0 win against Post last Friday, but couldn’t put up another win against Post a day later, falling 3-2 at the Ice Den.

Following the Penmen’s staggering 65-shot performance in the first half of the doubleheader, the Penmen struggled early, allowing power play goal to junior Noah Wild (Wading River, N.Y.)

SNHU senior Brett Strawn (Wareham, Mass.) tied things up before the first intermission with his second power play goal of the weekend. The two teams each added another goal before Post’s Matt Moreschi (Malden, Mass.) put Post up for good putting in a blue line slap shot deflection past SNHU netminder Alec Marshall.

Marshall (Nashua, N.H.) made 35 saves in the loss, following his 24-save outing a day earlier.

Andy Somerville (Medford, Mass.) provided the other goal while Jake Cox (Columbus, Ga.) and Charlie Davis (Milton, Mass.) provided assists following a goal apiece in Friday’s victory.

Artem Efimove-Barakov (Khimki, Russia) couldn’t add any additional points on Saturday after his two-goal performance on Friday, and neither could Phil Heisse (Overland Park, Kan.)

SNHU Hampshire is back in action Friday (Feb. 8) when it takes on Stonehill College at 7:20 p.m.
