STORY UPDATE: FEB. 7 – At approximately 6:30 p.m. Melvin Funez-Reyes was arrested during a traffic stop without incident. He has been charged with first-degree assault in the below incident. The crime was domestic in nature. He is scheduled to appear in Superior Court on Feb. 7.
MANCHESTER, NH – In the early evening hours of Feb. 5, 2018, Manchester Police officers responded to a Cilley Road address in reference to an assault. During their response, officers located a victim who had injuries requiring medical attention.
These injuries were later determined to be serious but non-life threatening. The victim reported being assaulted by a man known to them and identified him as Melvin Funez-Reyes, 21, last known address of 106 Union St. in Manchester.
Police have issued an active arrest warrant for Funez-Reyes for the crime of first-degree assault. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the Manchester Police Department at 668-8711. Anonymous tips can be left via the Manchester Crimeline. This is an ongoing active investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
