MANCHESTER, NH – Police are investigating a reported burglary on the city’s West Side in which a woman says she was assaulted by a group of intruders.

According to police on March 22 at about 11:30 p.m. the victim, a 24-year-old woman, said a man she did not know knocked on her door.  A short time later four men entered her apartment through a window and allegedly assaulted her before fleeing with cash, a television and a handgun.

The victim suffered lacerations to her eye, head and ear. She was transported to Catholic Medical Center and treated for what police described as non-life threatening injuries.

The victim told police the men threatened her with the gun before taking it and fleeing. Detectives believe the victim was targeted and do not believe this is a random act of violence. Members of the detective division are following up the case.
