9:30 a.m. UPDATE: Police have located a missing 2-year-old, who is reportedly safe and sound, found not far from her home on West Mitchell Street at about 9:15 a.m.

A brief update was issued at 9:30 a.m. from Manchester Police Lt. Brian O’Keefe, who said: “I want to confirm Zoey has been located and is currently being checked at a local hospital. This is a fluid investigation so no additional details are available at this time.”

Manchester Police Lt. Brian O’Keefe  said a multi-agency search included officers from State Police and Merrimack Police, as well as off-duty Manchester officers called in to assist.  A State Police helicopter did a search using heat-seeking infrared technology, but that search ended prior to the toddler being found. Initial information indicated the child may have “snuck out” a back door of the residence.

We’ll provide relevant details as they become available. A formal update is expected later this morning.
