MANCHESTER, NH – Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who threatened a clerk with a knife over a can of beer, after his credit card was declined.

On November 13, 2017 approximately 8:10 p.m. Manchester Police responded to an armed robbery at the neighborhood store, located at 230 Lowell St. The clerk told police a white male entered the store and attempted to purchase a single beer with a credit card. However, the card was declined and the suspect began arguing with the 25-year-old clerk and started to head toward the exit with the can of beer.

The clerk managed to block him from leaving at which point the man brandished a knife, so the clerk immediately backed away and allowed the man to flee his store with the can of beer. The suspect is described as having a slender build, brown thinning hair, a goattee and was last seen wearing jeans and a black-and-red winter coat.
