Occupants trapped by live wire after car veers off road, snaps utility pole

MANCHESTER, NH – Police are investigating a single-car accident that happened at about 8 a.m. Oct. 27 on Perimeter Road, after a car left the road, went through a guardrail and took down a utility pole. Occupants of the vehicle, a female driver and a young child, became trapped by a downed live wire.

The driver was headed south on Perimeter Road when her vehicle veered off the road. the vehicle left the roadway. A rescue crew from Manchester Fire Department arrived and secured the area so they could safely remove both victims from the vehicle. They were both transported to the Elliot Hospital with unknown but non-life threatening injuries.
