Man pulled over for inspection violation arrested for transporting pot

MANCHESTER, NH – On March 26, 2019 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Trooper Stefan Wagner from the New Hampshire State Police Troop B Barracks in Bedford conducted a motor vehicle stop for an inspection violation along Interstate 93 South in Windham.

During the course of the stop, a large quantity of marijuana was located and seized.

The operator of the vehicle Michael Melo, 21, of Manchester, was arrested and and transported to the State Police Barracks.  Once at the Barracks Melo was processed, bailed and released pending his arraignment.

Melo is scheduled to be arraigned in the Rockingham Superior Court on April 1 for the felony level charge of possession with the intent to distribute, as well as the lesser charges of transportation of drugs in a motor vehicle and for license required – subsequent offense.
