Donald Trump is the most corrupt president we have seen in our lifetimes. But as we get closer every day to choosing his successor, I urge every candidate to remember that Trump is the symptom – not the disease. In November we cannot only defeat Donald Trump – we must defeat the corruption that put him there in the first place. I see only one candidate up to that task: Elizabeth Warren.

On the debate stage on Thursday, Elizabeth brought every conversation back to what really matters – creating an America that works for all of us, not just a smaller portion at the top. Whether it’s climate change, pharmaceutical costs, trade, or more, Elizabeth has rightly called out the private interests that block change on these issues time and time again for what it is – corruption, plain and simple.

Government shouldn’t be a pay-for-play, and no half measures so we can return “back to normal” won’t break this fever. We need big, structural change to take back our democracy and fight for a government that works for all of us, not just those at the top.

Next month we will show the country who the Granite State Democrats wish to lead our party and win the White House. I urge you to vote for the candidate best suited to end this era of corruption once and for all.
