This is strange.

At least four New Hampshire schools were on alert Monday after phoned-in bomb threats, WMUR reportsand similar reports were coming in from all around the country, even from “across the pond,” in the UK.

None of the threats to New Hampshire schools  – in Portsmouth, Keene, Nashua or Berlin – were deemed legitimate.

Other threats were reported in several schools U.S, schools in New York, DelawareMassachusetts, Wisconsin, and 26 schools in the UK, all now deemed “an elaborate hoax.”

Some were reportedly phoned in as “robo calls” warning of hidden explosives, while others were reported as graffiti threats found in bathrooms.

In February a group using the name the Evacuator Group claimed responsibility for a series of similar school bomb threats in Australia, the UK, Japan, and the U.S.  At that time, a group spokesman told Mashable (via email) the school disruptions were “funny.”
