MANCHESTER, NH – A summary of suspected opioid OD statistics and Safe Station visits for Manchester are provided here by AMR, through April 30, 2018.  Note that we are now looking back over the period of 365 days for a true year-to- time period comparison, rather than just the same YTD time.

The total combined opioid overdoses for April 2018 in the state’s two largest cities of Nashua and Manchester were 91 with 2 of those being fatalities and 1 other fatality pending toxicology.

This month total combined Safe Station visits to a Nashua or Manchester since the programs began went over the 5,000 mark.

NOTABLE SUMMARY FOR APRIL 2018

  • Manchester ODs are up 15 percent in the last 365-days
  • Manchester OD deaths are down 17 percent in the last 365-days
  • Nashua ODs are up 7 percent in the last 365-days
  • Nashua OD deaths are up 14 percent in the last 365-days
  • People have now used a Nashua or Manchester Safe Station for access to help over 5,000 times

NASHUA

  • For the month of April 2018 there were 36 opioid ODs
  • For the month of April 2018 there were 0 confirmed opioid deaths and 1 pending toxicology results
  • 2018 YTD there have been 120 opioid ODs in Nashua
  • 2018 YTD there have been 13 opioid related deaths in Nashua and 1 pending toxicology results
  • Through the end of April 2018, the Nashua Safe Station program has been accessed 1,724 times since it began on Nov 17, 2016
