MANCHESTER, NH – Marjorie Hendrie, 40, no fixed address, was arrested March 16 after police say Hendrie is a suspect in two back-to-back robberies. Hendrie claimed to have a gun when she allegedly robbed a pet store and, minutes later, a bank, both on South Willow Street.

Police were dispatched to Pet Smart, 777 South Willow St., at 12:30 p.m. for a possible armed robbery. A second robbery call came in from TD Bank, 1255 South Willow St., at 12: 40 p.m. In both cases a woman had been responsible for the alleged crimes.

Manchester Police located and apprehended a woman, later identified as Hendrie, who was seated in a Chevrolet Cavalier near the Shaw’s Plaza, 425 South Willow St., at approximately 12:45 p.m. The woman, who was alone, was taken into custody without incident.

Initial reports indicated Hendrie was not in possession of a gun even though she claimed to have one during both alleged robberies.

Hendrie faces two counts of robbery. Police did not disclose how much cash Hendrie allegedly stole.
