MANCHESTER, NH – The Trenton Thunder left the Granite State after only two full innings of play on Sunday, as their game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats was suspended in the bottom of the third due to wet grounds.

Ryan Lidge and Vincente Conde gave Trenton RBI singles in the second inning and Mandy Alvarez added another RBI single in the top of the third.

Gunnar Heidt led off the bottom of the third with a walk, the final at-bat before the game’s suspension.

The contest will be resumed as part of a doubleheader on July 17, starting at 5:05 p.m. Fans with tickets from Sunday’s game can exchange them at the Fisher Cats box office for any other Fisher Cats home game this season, subject to availability.

On Monday, New Hampshire welcomes the Reading Fightin’ Phils to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium for a 6:35 p.m. matchup. Jordan Romano (3-0, 2.19 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Fisher Cats against Reading’s Harold Arauz (2-0, 3.86 ERA).
