MANCHESTER, NH – A Pembroke woman was arrested at about 2 p.m. on Friday in connection with a purse-snatching incident on June 22 at a fast food restaurant.

Elizabeth Santos, 30, of Pembroke, was arrested around 2 p.m. after an investigation by the Manchester Police Detective Division.

In reviewing video surveillance, conducting follow-ups, and based on initial statements taken at Wendy’s restaurant immediate following the incident, probable cause was established to arrest Santos and charge her with the robbery.

A warrant was obtained and she was taken into custody without incident.

According to Police, Santos allegedly took a pocketbook from the back of a chair inside the restaurant from a woman who was eating lunch with her kids. Santos ran off with the purse and the victim chased after her. The victim was injured when she tried to grab her purse from inside the truck that Santos got into, and she was thrown from the vehicle to the pavement.
