MANCHESTER, NH – The Mahrajan Middle Eastern Festival is happening Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23 at Our Lady of the Cedars Church, 140 Mitchell St., Manchester. food-02There will be live music, dancing, activities for kids and adults and a food tent serving up an extensive menu of traditional favorites like falafel, kibbee, kabobs and lubyeh. Bedford Village Inn is hosting its 9th annual cigar dinner with Blowin’ Smoke cigar shop at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 27. The evening will be held under the tent, with a fine cigar, grilled hors d’oeuvres, oysters and a hand carved station. Cash bar. A three course dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and a cigar, wine or beverage will accompany most courses. The price is $125 per person. On Sundays the elegant Manchester restaurant is offering a three courses menu for $40 per person from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. The menu includes several choices for starter, entree and dessert. Look for steakhouse classics like the wedge salad and chopped salad for starters. Entrée choices include an 8oz Filet Mignon with market potato and the daily vegetable, a grilled ‘Cab’ Hanger steak with creamed spinach and potato gratin or cedar planked salmon with asparagus, Shiitake mushrooms and sweet potato, to name a few. Wrap up your meal with a vanilla bean crème brulee, bittersweet chocolate tart or strawberry shortcake.
