Man shot in leg on Pearl Street

MANCHESTER, NH — At approximately 5:25 a.m. on Oct. 1, Manchester Police  responded to a 911 call for a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The 911 caller indicated that the man was in the area of the Faucher Block Apartments, located on Pearl Street. Upon arrival patrol officers located a man sitting on the front steps of 138 Pearl St. suffering from what appeared to be one gunshot wound to his right leg in the upper thigh area.

The man had wrapped the wound in a towel and had apparently used a belt as a tourniquet. He was transported to the Elliot Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
