Ice dislodged from box truck smashes windshield, injures motorist

BOW, NH – State Police seek information about the driver of a box truck involved in an accident on I-93 south on April 3, 2017 that left a driver with injuries from a smashed windshield due to falling ice.

At approximately 8:40 a.m. New Hampshire State Police responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash involving a Toyota sedan on Interstate 93.

The investigation revealed that a sheet of ice dislodged from the top of an unidentified box truck also traveling southbound. The ice struck the Toyota’s windshield, smashing it and causing minor lacerations to the driver’s hands.

The box truck continued southbound without stopping.

The victim’s vehicle could not be driven from the scene due to the severity of damage.
