MANCHESTER, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces that a work release inmate from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester was placed on escape status.
Bruce Gordon Apostolas, 54, a registered sex offender, left the Calumet House Friday, September 22, 2017 at 6 a.m. to report to work. He left his place of employment and was last seen at the corner of Lake and Union streets in Manchester. He failed to return to Calumet House.
Apostolas is described as a white male, 5-feet-11 inches tall, 300 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has multiple tattoos over his body, including a tear tattooed near his left eye.
Apostolas is serving multiple sentences. He was sentenced in Hillsborough Superior Court on January 31, 2017 to a 1½-to-3 year sentence for two counts of duty to inform change of address, and a 1 ½ – 3 year sentence for possession of controlled drug – crack cocaine. He was sentenced out of Hillsborough Superior Court on February 25, 2014 for failure to register to a 3-6 year sentence and on March 24, 2010 for failure to register to a 1-12 year sentence.

He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison on January 31, 2017. He will be eligible for release on parole on August 22, 2018 with a maximum release date of July 24, 2023. The New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau is investigating.
