BEDFORD, NH –  Three people were injured after a crash at around 11 a.m. on July 13 on I-293.

Multiple 911 calls were made reporting a truck had rolled over with one person trapped and two people ejected in the northbound lane of 293, in Bedford.

The pick-up truck with three occupants failed to negotiate the curve and left the right side of the roadway. Two people were thrown from the truck when it crashed and the third person was trapped. Rescuers had to cut the trapped person from the wreckage, which took approximately 30 minutes.

Manchester Fire, Bedford Fire worked together to extricate the patient. AMR, Londonderry Fire, and Bedford Fire provided ambulances for all three people, who were taken to the Elliot Hospital Trauma Center.

Adding to the multiple events at the scene, an empty car seat was found unstrapped in the back of the truck which alarmed the responders. A thorough search was done in the wooded area to make sure there was no child ejected. Based on evidence at the scene it appears speed was a factor.
NH State Police is investigating the accident. All three patients received serious injuries, according to police.
