MANCHESTER, NH – Sometimes the tech world is about gadgetry that’s hard to relate to, unless you’re a computer engineer. Other times, the tech world brings you a better beer, which is something we can all get behind.

This is one of those other times, and better beer is the only thing Manchester-based Fizzics cares about.

Screen Shot 2015-06-24 at 3.28.02 PMThe three guys behind Fizzics – Phillip Petracca, Roger An and David McDonald – seem to be hitting it out of the park, if by park you mean CE Week 2015 (like New York Fashion Week for the tech world) which is happening June 24-25.

Fizzics automated beer dispenser is designed to create a tastier beer from your own favorite brands, through the magic of science and technology, according to the hype. You just pop the can, bottle or growler into the high-tech contraption, slide the plastic tube into the beer vessel, and then push the lever. The Fizzics dispenser uses “proprietary fluid and gas technology” to make magic out of your PBR or Smuttynose or Heineken – or whatever your beer of choice happens to be.

In the brief video above you will learn all the physics behind Fizzics, like how they use soundwaves to chop up the beer bubbles into tinier beer bubbles to disrupt the carbonation for a “perfect” head.

Screen Shot 2015-06-24 at 3.27.53 PMAnd like the true beer masters they are, Petracca, An and McDonald say they are motivated to do all this for you, the ultimate beer lover – “to enrich the pour, aroma, mouth feel and, of course, the taste of your favorite beer,” no matter the quality.

Fizzics began as a crowd-sourced project on Indiegogo, and has nearly tripled its fundraising goal of $50,000, with a few days left to go on the campaign. It is currently set to retail for $229 and should be available by October of 2015.

The most recent campaign update offers Fizzics swag and special deals.
