Rescuers revive 6-year-old with Narcan, police investigating as possible heroin overdose

MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police responded to a Conant Street apartment at 6 a.m. on July 18, 2017 for an unresponsive child. They spoke with AMR personnel about the 6-year old boy who was unresponsive upon their arrival. Medical personnel administered an opiate antagonist to revive the young child, who was stabilized and transported to a local hospital.

He has since been placed in the care of a family member, but remains hospitalized. There is no additional information  at this time as juvenile detectives continue to investigate the incident.

    Happy the child was revived, not happy the Narcan injector was left on the ground for kids to pick up.
    I would think the responding Officers, EMR’s, etc would be trained better than that. Unsightly for one but also a safety issue I would think. I appreciate 1st responders but to the one that discarded the Narcan, don’t be a douche.
