MANCHESTER, NH – Zachary Kenneth Mattson, affectionately known as “Mattson” by his dear friends, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 30, 2017 in a motor vehicle accident.

Born in Manchester, he was the son of Jennifer Lasman and Richard A. Mattson Jr.

A devoted son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend, Zach’s family was paramount in his life. He especially cherished time spent with his two beloved nephews. Zach was a passionate Patriots fan and enjoyed playing recreational basketball with his brothers and friends. An avid outdoorsman, Zach loved hiking and snowboarding throughout New England. He found great solace and relaxation in the fresh mountain air, and sounds of nature. Zach will be best remembered for his quick wit and never ending sense of humor.

Zach is survived by his mother, Jennifer Lasman and husband Fred of Manchester; father, Richard A. Mattson Jr. and wife Sandra of Fuguay-Varina, NC; sister, Kristina Lasman; six brothers, Nick Morin, Frederick Lasman Jr., Joshua Mattson, Kyle Morin, Hunter Lasman, and Benjamin Lasman; two nephews, Carter Lasman and Jack Roy; girlfriend, Brooklyn Presuto; maternal grandparents, Jane Martin, Bradford Gibbons, Richard Gayou and wife Ann Gayou, and Florence Lasman; paternal grandparents, Richard A. Mattson Sr. and wife Gladys, and Linda Ashton; paternal great grandmother, Lillian Ashton; several loving cousins, aunts, and uncles; and extended family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m.. to 12 p.m. followed by a Life Celebration Service at noon. Friends and relatives are invited.
