Would-be robber with knife foiled after failing to vault over DD counter

MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police are looking for a man they say tried to rob the Dunkin Donuts on Granite Street July 29, but who left empty-handed.

At around 10 p.m. a man armed with what appeared to be a knife entered the Dunkin Donuts at 271 Granite St. Responding officers were informed that a the man approached the counter near the cash register holding what appeared to be a knife in his hand demanding money.

Store employees backed away from the register and the man attempted to jump over the counter, but failed to make it over. He then exited the store without getting any money.

The man is described as a white male with a thin build, approximately 20-30 years of age, last seen wearing a baseball style hat, sunglasses, a black tank top, plaid shorts and dark colored shoes.
