MANCHESTER, NH – A Manchester woman was stabbed by her friend’s boyfriend after they arrived at his Concord Street apartment at approximately 2:35 a.m. on June 15. The 23 year-old victim and her 22-year-old friend showed up at the apartment of Miguel Carranza-Lopez, 24, of Manchester after Carranza-Lopez told his girlfriend to retrieve her belongings from his 287 Concord St. apartment.

Carranza-Lopez and his girlfriend allegedly engaged in a verbal argument prior to him pushing his girlfriend to the ground. The stabbing victim stepped in to assist her friend when she noticed Carranza-Lopez holding a knife. He repeatedly swung the knife at the two women and threatened to kill both of them. Carranza-Lopez girlfriend stated he narrowly missed her head with the knife as she quickly moved away from him.

Unfortunately, her friend received a deep laceration to her arm as a result of him swinging the knife at the two women. The women fled the apartment and drove to the Elliot Hospital to seek medical treatment for the stabbing victim. She was treated for a serious, but non-life-threatening laceration to her arm.

Officers responded to 287 Concord St. and located and arrested Carranza-Lopez inside of his apartment. He was charged with first-degree assault (F), criminal threatening (felony), and simple assault (domestic). He is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on June 15, 2018.
