Drug agents were descending on a Beech Street residence allegedly linked to the illegal sale of oxycodone when a woman was injured on Aug. 27, according to a story by the NH Union Leader.

The raid was the conclusion of nearly a 10-month investigation into drug sales from residents of Apartment 3 at 110 Beech Street, according to court affidavits obtained by the Union Leader. Prior to the raid, police had arrested four people and confiscated 1,600 oxycodone pills and $2,000 in cash.

After law enforcement officials raided the apartment on Aug. 27 just after 7 p.m., a woman identified by relatives as Lillian Nuñez, was taken by ambulance for a gunshot wound. Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeffery Strelzin confirmed that the injury was caused when “one of the officer’s weapons discharged.”

No further information has been released by authorities.
