LONDONDERRY, NH – A woman perished in a car fire on I-93 in Londonderry Monday.
At approximately 12:08 p.m. motorists began reporting that a vehicle traveling south on Interstate 93 in Londonderry left the roadway near Exit 5. The vehicle came to a final rest approximately 30 feet off of the roadway into the wood line. Moments later witnesses reported that the vehicle was on fire, troopers responded to the location but were unable to rescue the driver, who was inside the vehicle.
The identity of the victim was not released by authorities.
This incident is being investigated by members of the State Fire Marshal’s Office, the NH State Police, and the Londonderry Fire Department. An autopsy is scheduled for November 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
