MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Silver Street and Union Street at 9:15 p.m. on May 8. The ambulance was operated by Sarah Condikey, 19, of Manchester. She was driving west on Silver Street when she stopped at the posted stop sign. She proceeded through the intersection as a 2000 Dodge Durango, operated by Alexandria Wszolek, 22, of Manchester, drove northerly on Union Street.

Wszolek had the right of way, but was unable to stop when the ambulance proceeded through the intersection. She struck the side of the ambulance which caused heavy front end damage to her car and damage to the driver’s side of the ambulance. Wszolek sustained a non-life threatening injury to her knee. The two AMR workers refused medical treatment.

The ambulance driver was at fault for failing to yield the right of way. The operator of the Dodge received a motor vehicle summons for operating without a license and transported to the hospital. Her vehicle was inoperable so it was towed from the scene.
