MANCHESTER, NH — The following is a police narrative of an arrest that took place on December 24m 2018:
On Monday at approximately 1:58 p.m. officers responded to the area of Union and Orange streets for a report of a large fight. Upon arrival, Officer Konrad Jaworski made contact with a man who informed him there was a firearm in a nearby vehicle and a woman was retrieving it from the vehicle.
Officer Jaworski attempted to make contact with the woman, later identified as Carmen Figueroa, 18. In doing so, he observed Figueroa manipulating something inside the car. As Figueroa closed the door to the vehicle, Officer Jaworski observed her tuck something into the left side of her chest area. As Officer Jaworski gave verbal commands to Figueroa, she reached into her chest area and retrieved a firearm. As Figueroa removed the firearm, she began turning toward Officer Jaworski and began to raise the firearm away from her chest toward him. Officer Jaworski was able to grab hold of the firearm as Figueroa struck him with her other fist. Officer Jaworski was eventually able to place Figueroa under arrest.
Figueroa was subsequently transported to the Manchester Police Department and charged with falsifying physical evidence, resisting arrest, felony criminal threatening, and two counts of simple assault on a police officer.
