Winter Storm Watch: After-school activities cancelled as snow closes in

Weather Man says snow’s moving our way.

MANCHESTER, NH — A winter storm watch is in effect for our area, as a storm front moves in Tuesday, bringing a significant snowfall.

Due to the anticipated winter weather, Manchester School District is cancelling afternoon preschool and all after school activities.

Current storm track has snow beginning at about 3 p.m. Tuesday and continuing through the night, turning to rain by Wednesday, with accumulation of up to 10 inches.

WHAT: Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze possible.

WHERE: Portions of central, northern and southern New Hampshire.

WHEN: From Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
