West’s Julia Robitaille beat out 267 other high school cross country runners to earn the title at this year’s New England Cross Country Championship earlier this week.

Robitaille’s time of 17:31.65 was actually slower than her second-place time at the NHIAA Cross Country Meet of Champions last week, but was faster than her Division II state championship-setting time late last month.

Her younger sister Corinne finished in 25th place with a time of 18:45.82.

Drew Thompson of Connecticut’s Fairfield Prep won the boys’ race with a time of 15:16.66

A full list of results is available at the event’s website.
