Police say West High School was placed under lockdown Thursday morning as a precaution after a former student was seen entering the building with a gun.

Manchester Police Sgt. Brian O’Keefe said no threats were made by the 21-year-old, but that the security measure was a precaution. Students are safe, O’Keefe said.

No injuries are reported at this time.
