Weekend traffic advisory from Manchester Police

MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Police Department advises that multiple events at Derryfield park on September 23, 2018 are scheduled that may cause traffic delays and increase parking issues.

The Miles 4 Meals 4-Miler, which will start at Derryfield Park on Sept. 23, 2018 at 10 a.m. will take place on the following route:

Start @ Derryfield Park counter-clockwise around the park utilizing the “triangle” portion of Circular Dr./Reservoir Avenue, continue on Reservoir Avenue to Belmont Street, north on Belmont Street to Myrtle Street, west on Myrtle Street to Linden Street, north on Linden Street to Harrison Street, east on Harrison Street to Belmont Street, north on Belmont Street to Smyth Road, Smyth Road to Kennard Road, east on Kennard to Mammoth Road, south on Mammoth Road to Bridge Street (coned lane), Bridge Street to Derryfield Park (sidewalk), right on Reservoir Avenue, utilize the “triangle” portion of Circular Drive/Reservoir Avenue to turn back toward Derryfield Park to the start/finish line.

This event will be coupled with several youth football games. Attendees are asked to seek alternate parking at Hillside Middle School and surrounding neighborhoods. Although some streets will be closed, please be patient as officers will be on post to get attendees where they need to go when it is safe to do so. Please leave extra time to get into the park especially between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
