Water main break that forced early dismissal at Central is fixed, school on for Friday

UPDATE: 5 p.m. — Manchester School District announced the repair work on the Beech Street water main break was completed Thursday afternoon, followed by an onsite inspection by the school facilities division.

School will be open and on time for Central students on Jan. 8


 

MANCHESTER, NH – A water main break Jan. 6  in the vicinity of Central High School has forced water to be shut off to the school for repairs. As a result, students will be dismissed at 10:30 a.m.

In addition, due to the time needed for the repair, adult and community evening education classes held at Central are canceled for Jan. 7 as well.

Be advised that the water main break at Beech and Lowell streets has caused road closures at Beech and Bridge streets, southbound; Lowell and Ash streets, westbound; and Walnut and Lowell streets, eastbound.

The school district reports that MTA buses will be available to students who ride them.
