MANCHESTER, NH — A Monday evening concert in Victory Park was the culmination of a day-long service event organized by Old Sol Music Hall in partnership with Intown Manchester, the New Hampshire Institute of Art, and End Hunger NE. The concert also kicked off Intown Manchester’s 2016 Summer Fest series.

About 200 people made their way to the park, some toting picnic-style provisions, others enjoying burgers and hot dogs served up by Somersett Grille food truck.

There was dancing and bubble-making (and popping), Frisbee-throwing and hacky-sacking going on during the 90-minute concert, and a general all-around good vibe was shared by all.

The video above is a walk-about, shot via Facebook live and posted on Manchester Ink Link’s Facebook page, during the event. Below is a video taken during the food packaging assembly line, which took place at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. [Scroll all the way down for some concert footage.]

The Summer Serve-a-thon & Concert was funded primarily through the support of grassroots supporters on NH Gives Day, a 24-hour online giving event on Tuesday, June 7. Organized by the NH Center for Nonprofits, Old Sol Music Hall exceeded its NH Gives Day goal by generating 108 individuals gifts, averaging approximately $30 per donation. Additionally, Old Sol was awarded $2,600 in prize money from the NH Charitable Foundation for generating the highest total number of donors among 281 participating organizations across the state.
