Walking for health

MANCHESTER, NH – City Parks and Recreation will again offer Walk for Your Health, an annual fitness walk for anyone interested in getting some fresh air and exercise.

The group will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting Sept. 7 – Nov. 11, 2016. Walks begin at 9 a.m.

The first three sessions will be three miles long and depart from Door’s Pond warming hut at Livingston Park on D.W. Highway. Future walks will become progressively longer in length and start at different locations around the city. During inclement weather walks will be held at the Mall of NH.

The entire fall schedule will be posted online at the Parks & Rec Dept. link on Sept. 2.

All are welcome to participate. There will be a one-time $3 registration fee to help defray some of the program costs.

There are also Senior Walks organized by Manchester Community Policing Department, scheduled to begin Sept. 12, for those age 55 and older.
