Friday night’s game in Hartford appears to be Vladimir Guerrero’s final game with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

On Saturday, Guerrero earned promotion to the Toronto Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate, the Buffalo Bisons, ending months of speculation over when he would finally move on from New Hampshire.

During his 61 games for the Fisher Cats, Guerrero recorded a .402/.449/.671 slashline, contributing 14 home runs, 60 RBI and 48 runs scored.

Guerrero was sidelined in early June with a leg injury, the first major injury of his professional career.

It would take just over a month for his return to Manchester, but in a testament to his offensive prowess at the beginning of the season, he retained his status as the Eastern League’s leader in RBI several weeks after he went onto the disabled list.

Guerrero is expected to join Buffalo on Tuesday, first heading to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. There he will attend the enshrinement ceremony for his father, Vladimir Guerrero Sr., obtaining entrance into the Baseball Hall of Fame earlier this year.
