Virginia Mele, 54: Artistic pop-culture enthusiast, lived life to the fullest, loved deeply; gone too soon

MANCHESTER, NH – Virginia R. Mele, 54, of Manchester, died March 29, 2017, at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after a sudden illness.

Born in French Camp, CA, on April 16, 1962, she was the daughter of Juan and Amelia (Gonzalez) Rodriguez. She was raised in Stockton, CA, and resided in New Hampshire since 1984.

She graduated from Stagg High School, Stockton, CA, Class of 1980.

Virginia was employed with Alltex Uniforms for many years.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, crocheting, and painting in water colors. She was a pop-culture enthusiast and avid reader. Virginia deeply loved life and her family, especially her granddaughter, who brought her endless pride and joy. Those who knew her will never forget her warmth and kindness.

In addition to her father, of Stockton, CA, family members include her daughter, Angelica Ladd and her husband, Dan, of Henniker; four sons, Edward, Marcus, Eric, and Joseph Mele, all of Manchester; a granddaughter, Naomi Ladd; five brothers, Johnny, David, Arthur, Leo, and Greg; two sisters, Alice and Marie Rodriguez; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services: A memorial celebration of her life will be held Monday April 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH. Click here to sign the guest book
