MANCHESTER, NH — The season’s first snowstorm wasn’t enough to stop the Manchester East Cobras from rolling into the Derryfield Park parking for a heroes’ welcome — only two hours behind schedule — after winning on Friday the American Youth Football District 2 Championship.
Parents, siblings, friends and extended family, showered the team with Silly String and hugs as they climbed from two vans that had made the drive straight through from Kissimmee, FLA, where the AYF championships were held.
They were also met with a stack of pizza and bunches of balloons, as they gathered for one last team photo with the trophy, before heading home from a long and victorious road trip.
